Our son began working with Myron at age 7. We went to Myron for help with writing skills and to better develop his fine motor skills. Sessions with Myron quickly became one of the highlights of our son's weeks. He thought he was playing and having fun while Myron strategically helped him develop some upper body strength, grow his working memory, learn to calm himself down through breathing and slowing down, fine tune his handwriting, and so much more. Our son found in Myron, a man who would listen and offer instruction or suggestions, someone who could laugh with him, someone who would be firm yet caring, and someone who could understand him. We were often sent home with ideas to implement that would help our son and us in areas that we saw as a struggle at school or at home. He willingly wrote a letter describing what he saw as our son's areas of difficulty and suggested clear accommodations that would lend to a successful school year. Some of these suggestions have been life savers in the classroom. |
